Established in 2024, DMV Turk Muzigi Topluluğu is a choir of Turkish and Azerbaijani members, held an enchanting Turkish music concert titled "Yesilcam Sarkilari" on May 18, 2024, at the American University. The concert captivated a crowd of more than 300 Turkish music enthusiasts.
Led by Tuna Yildiz, DMV Turk Muzigi Topluluğu delivered an unforgettable evening filled with soul-stirring performances and authentic Turkish musical flair.
The concert featured a repertoire inspired by the legendary "Yesilcam" era (1950-1980), taking the attendees on a nostalgic journey through the golden era of Turkish cinema with mesmerizing melodies, timeless tunes, and snippets from iconic movies such as Hababam Sinifi.
DMV Turk Muzigi Topluluğu delivered another unforgettable evening with a tribute to Atatürk on "November 24th Teacher's Day"
The theme of the concert was in Turkish "Atatürkten yadigar sarkılar" which featured the songs very much loved by Atatürk.
The procedings from this concert donated to Dilek Livaneli's "Bir Dilek Yetmez" education project.
